 AOC Singles Ministry
“When will I get married? Is ‘the one’ out there for me? Why haven’t I found him/her yet? How will I know if I’m ready for courtship? What am I supposed to do until I get married? Could I get remarried? How am I supposed to get over that last relationship?”
The Single Population includes anyone who has never been married, had a marriage that ended in divorce, or has lost their spouse to death.
Mission:
The Singles Ministry seeks to minister to the WHOLE individual by meeting social needs through fellowship, spiritual needs through teaching and peer discussions, and emotional needs via encouragement and the exchange of testimonies.

Vision: The Singles Ministry aims to do the following.
1. To promote a spirit of unity via fellowship and social outings. This spirit will extend beyond the Singles Ministry and spread into the lives of each single adult. See Psalm 133.
2. To promote a hunger and thirst for a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, and a greater willingness to care for that which concerns Him. Consequently, this will result in a greater ambassadorship for Christ. See 1 Corinthians 7:32, Psalm 119:9-18, 2 Timothy 2:15, 1 John 2:3, and John 14:15.
3. To promote healing and to assist one another in overcoming past hurts and disappointments, allowing weights to be layed aside so that Jesus Christ may move more freely in the lives of individuals and the church body that they are a part of. See Hebrews 12:1.
Director: Sis. Melanie Crockett
While seeking to find her purpose in life, Sis. Melanie Crockett found the answer to fill what seemed to be an unfillable void in her heart. Her life turned around once she repented and turned away from sin, received the gift of Holy Ghost during a prayer revival on July 1, 2009, and was baptized in Jesus’ name on the following day. Soon after, she hit the ground running and became active in multiple ministries. While completing the monthly bulletins for Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church in Richmond, California, she also served in the Music Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Sunday School Ministry, and in any other area where she was needed. She moved to Louisiana in 2011 and became a member of Apostolic Outreach Center. After an intense season of Discipleship courses, she availed herself again and currently serves in the Youth Ministry, Sunday School Ministry, and Music Ministry. With a deeply rooted desire to promote a healthy relationship with Jesus as a prerequisite to all other relationships with people, Sis. Melanie Crockett is now the director of the Singles Ministry.
